Something strange is happening. There is a great silence on earth today, a great silence and stillness. The whole earth keeps silence because the King is asleep.
We have arrived at Holy Saturday, the final day of the Great Fast. We keep vigil for Our Lord, waiting in great anticipation for Easter.
During the Triduum, our Tenebrae liturgy (below) will replace our regular morning prayer. Please note, too, that our table reading has concluded.
