What does a holy Lent look like? The answer has become a little unclear, at least in the contemporary Church. Lent (like much of our culture!) has become very individualistic, so much so that we might feel compelled to make up our Lenten observance as we go along.
But there is a better way! For two millennia, Lent has been a communal and universal exercise: a Church united in fasting and common prayer. In this short video, Fr. Ambrose offers some practical, actionable ways that we might embrace this ancient and fruitful approach in our own lives, and how we might reclaim the stark beauty of this important season of preparation and prayer.
