As a preaching order, Norbertines have a long history with education. That ministry finds a unique expression--with its own set of joys and challenges--in today's educational landscape. In this video, part three in our four part series, Fr. Damien reflects on his experience in Catholic schools. His observations, some of which are quite eye-opening, paint a picture of failed catechesis.
But there is also a clear road ahead, and real hope for the future. We owe it to our students (and, indeed, to our teachers) to do better.
This is the third part of a four-part series on the renewal of Catholic education. To see the rest of the episodes, and to learn more about The Evermode Institute, an educational initiative by the Norbertines of St. Michael's Abbey, please follow this link.
