In these final days of our Novena, we ask for the grace of humble obedience. A pilgrimage (even a spiritual pilgrimage like this one that we are making together) reminds us that we are not in control. We are not charting our own path; we are following what has been set out before us. As St. Michael’s great service to God shows us, this sort of obedience is not weakness, but strength. It is a path to victory. Indeed, Christ’s own crucifixion, made present on altars across the world in the Holy Eucharist, shows us that there is glory in humility.

Behind this novena is a growing movement—the Abbot’s Circle—bringing the light of Christ to the world. It’s a movement rooted in monastic tradition, sustained by grace, and aimed at the renewal of the Church through the formation of future priests and faithful. If you are able, join now.
