Chapter Nine, Part Three
With Norbert away in his capacity as bishop, the community at Prémontré will need an abbot if if is to survive. Norbert undergoes this "Passover" and appoints his friend Hugh as the new abbot, and a vision from heaven gives this new leader courage and consolation for the work ahead.
With this appointment, a new organizational structure emerges that governs Norbertines to this day.
